Km North of Pafos. Polis tis Chrysochous lies where there was once stood
the ancient city-kingdom of Marion, an important commercial centre in the
Classical and Hellenistic times. Polis, with its excellent climate,
beautiful beaches and scenery, and the graphical boat shelter near-by at
Lakki, is now developing into a popular resort.
POLIS CAMPING & PICNIC SITE 37 km from the town of Pafos, Tel: 26-321526 The camping site is
situated on the beach in a pleasant eucalyptus grove, (500 metres from
Polis town centre). It has a capacity of 200 tents/ caravans. Open from
March till the end of October.
MARION/ARSINOE
(Archaeological Museum of Polis). The local museum of Polis houses
an interesting collection of antiquities found in the region.
